Ama Dablam Expedition
In the heart of the Sherpa Land the local community is considered the most sacred ornament box is worn by ladies, which is symbolic representation of the Mt. Ama Dablam. It is a steep pyramid of ice with vertical walls and sharp, exposed ridges. Ama Dablam forms a lasting impression on many trekkers in Nepal, as it is perhaps the most stunning mountain along the popular trekking route to Everest Base Camp. The trekking route start from Lukla (2840m) and pass through the legendary Sherpa land up the spectacular high valley of the Khumbu. Ama Dablam is lying alongside Everest in the heart of the Khumbu valley offering a superb climb up a spectacular ridge.
Experience Required: All climbers who intend to climb Ama Dablam need to have good skills on rock and ice climbing also technically competent. On most parts of the routes there will be fixed rope, however, the climbers should posses skills of climbing through steep rock and hard compact ice. We follow the standard South West ridge route (normal route) to the top, as it is consider the safe route, free from the objective danger such as avalanche and so on. The route we follow begins at Lukla (2850m.) and the initial days of the trekking pass through the legendary Sherpa country up the spectacular high valley of the Khumbu. Most of the route on the actual climbing is fixed with no icefall or glacier to negotiate, and most of it is concentrated on the crest of a ridge.

Oct. 02 Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m.), meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.

Oct. 04 Day 03: Official work for expedition and briefing at Ministry of Tourism.
Oct. 05 Day 04: Fly to Lukla (2,800m.) trek to Phakding (26,22m.) Teahouse Lodge.
Oct. 06 Day 05: Phakding – Namche Bazar (3,440m.) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Oct. 07 Day 06: Acclimatization and rest day. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Oct. 08 Day 07: Namche Bazar – Tengboche (3,867m.) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Oct. 09 Day 08: Tengboche – Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,600m.) O/N at Camping.
Oct. 10- Oct. 24 Day 09 - 23: Climbing period for Ama Dablam expedition (6,812m.).
Oct. 25 Day 24: Clean up Base Camp and back pack. O/N at Camping.
Oct. 26 Day 25: Trekking back to Tengboche. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Oct. 27 Day 26: Tengboche – Namche Bazar. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Oct. 28 Day 27: Namche Bazar – Lukla then transfer to Teahouse Lodge.
Oct. 29 Day 28: Fly back to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Oct. 30 Day 29: Kathmandu free for D-briefing and rest, farewell dinner at evening.
Oct. 31 Day 30: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey.

The following gives you a general idea of the trekking equipment and clothing needed for this trek.
This is a porter-supported trek. Two clients share one porter. We will supply you a trek duffel bag where you keep your heavy items and this bag is carried by the porter. You will need to bring your own daypack to be carried by you. In the daypack, you can put money, important documents, water bottle/bladder, camera, toiletries, sunscreen, notebook, etc.
The weight limit for the porter is 30 kg or 66 pounds. 15 kg or 33 pounds for each client. So, we recommend you to pack as carefully as you can and not exceed the weight limit. You can leave your non-trekking stuff at the locker facility in the Kathmandu hotel.

Note: Tight fitting, figure-hugging clothing such as those made with Lycra can often be offensive to locals, especially to women. If you find these items comfortable as a base layer, please pack something to wear on top of them.
