First climbed in 1955 by a German expedition via the Northeast ridge, the peak of Chulu East, together with Chulu West, forms an integral part of the Manang Himal, which in turn is included in the Larger Damodar Himal. Chulu East lying south east of Chulu West is a comparatively smaller peak.
Those who are seeking for test of mountaineering may undoubtedly once join to climb this beautiful peak. Absolute adventure proposed itinerary is based in facts that it will make you perfect acclimatization to be fit to your successive climb. It is also combined with normal trekking itinerary which also cost you less. After the climbing you have to trek further crossing on Thorung La Pass and fly back from the Jomsom.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu airport (1,350m.), meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Chame (2,713m.) Via Besishahar O/N at Teahouse Lodge
Day 03: Chame - Pisang (3,185m.) O/N at Teahouse Lodge
Day 04: Rest day for acclimatization, exploration.
Day 05: Pisang – Chulu Kharka (Nagawal). Tented Camp.
Day 06: Nagawal – Chulu Base Camp (3,950m.) Preparation.
Day 07: Hight Camp – Chulu Far East (6,059m.) summit and back to Base Camp.
Day 08: Reserve day for if incase of bad weather.
Day 09: Chulu Base Camp – Manang Village (3,351m.)
Day 10: Manang Village – Thorung - La Phedi (4,500m.)
Day 11: Thorung Phedi – Thorung – La Pass. (5,,416m.) – Muktinath. (3,800m.)
Day 12: Muktinath – Beni Bazar (8,20m.) by local Jeep. O/N at Guest House.
Day 13: Beni Bazar – Pokhara (915m.) by Bus and transfers to Hotel.
Day 14: Pokhara – Kathmandu by tourist Bus then transfer at Hotel.
Day 15: Kathmandu free and farewell dinner.
Day 16: Last minute, transfers to airport for your onward journey.

PEAK CLIMBING COST INCLUDES:
  • Land transportation by Car, Van, Hiace, tourist and local Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport, trekking pick up and drop).
  • 3 Night’s Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and 1 night in Pokhara at Bed and breakfast basis.

Equipment for this trip.

The following gives you a general idea of the trekking equipment and clothing needed for this trek.

This is a porter-supported trek. Two clients share one porter. We will supply you a trek duffel bag where you keep your heavy items and this bag is carried by the porter. You will need to bring your own daypack to be carried by you. In the daypack, you can put money, important documents, water bottle/bladder, camera, toiletries, sunscreen, notebook, etc.

The weight limit for the porter is 30 kg or 66 pounds. 15 kg or 33 pounds for each client. So, we recommend you to pack as carefully as you can and not exceed the weight limit. You can leave your non-trekking stuff at the locker facility in the Kathmandu hotel.

  • Diamox (commonly prescribed as Acetazolamide) 125 or 250mg tablets for altitude sickness

Note: Tight fitting, figure-hugging clothing such as those made with Lycra can often be offensive to locals, especially to women. If you find these items comfortable as a base layer, please pack something to wear on top of them.
