Ganja La Chuli (Naya Kanga) is an attractive peak rising to the west of the Ganja La (5,122m.). Ascending to Ganja La or the summit of Naya Kanga offers the spectacular panoramic views of mountains in Nepal and Tibet including Langshisa Ri (6,370m.), Pemthang Ri (6,836m), Shisapangma (8,013m.), Langtang Lirung (7,234m.), Pemthang Kapro Ri (6,830m.) and Langtang II (6,571m.). We follow the route of Langtang trek to Kyangjin (3,749m.) for the ascent of Naya Kanga. To the north above Kangjin, there are several hills that provide both the magnificent views and the acclimatization. North - east of Kyangjin Ri (4,700m.), there are two peaks; Yala Peak (5,500m.) and Tsergo Peak (5,749m.) that provide good climbing for acclimatization. The normal route for Naya Kanga peak climibng is North - East Face and North Ridge.

Langtang national park the park includes leopard, musk deer, Himalayan black bear, rhesus and langur monkeys and the endangered red panda.Formerly known as Ganja La Chuli, Naya Kang (5,844 m) rises to the west of Ganja La, and is a popular but difficult mountain to climb. The normal route to this peak is via the snowy north-east ridge. It is not yet clear who climbed this summit first. The most important reward of climbing Naya Kang You will have stunning views of Lantang Lirung (7246m), Lenpo Gang 7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and mighty Shishapangma (8027m) in Tibetan side.

Equipment for this trip.

The following gives you a general idea of the trekking equipment and clothing needed for this trek.

This is a porter-supported trek. Two clients share one porter. We will supply you a trek duffel bag where you keep your heavy items and this bag is carried by the porter. You will need to bring your own daypack to be carried by you. In the daypack, you can put money, important documents, water bottle/bladder, camera, toiletries, sunscreen, notebook, etc.

The weight limit for the porter is 30 kg or 66 pounds. 15 kg or 33 pounds for each client. So, we recommend you to pack as carefully as you can and not exceed the weight limit. You can leave your non-trekking stuff at the locker facility in the Kathmandu hotel.

Note: Tight fitting, figure-hugging clothing such as those made with Lycra can often be offensive to locals, especially to women. If you find these items comfortable as a base layer, please pack something to wear on top of them.
